UPDATE :Arrest made in connection with Aggravated Assault Investigation on Napier Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with an aggravated assault incident that occurred at a residence within the 2700 block of Napier Avenue. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center just before 6:00 p.m., Wednesday evening.

Patrol Deputies responded to the scene to investigate a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a fifteen-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local medical facility for further treatment.

During the investigation, seventeen-year-old Tishon Deltavious Lowe was identified as the suspect and taken into custody. Lowe was transported to the Criminal Investigation Division before being transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Tishon Deltavious Lowe has been charged with Aggravated Assault. He is currently being held without bond.

According to medical staff, the victim remains in critical condition.

Shooting Investigation on Napier Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Napier Avenue just before 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Deputies responded to a residence within the 2700 block of Napier Avenue after a call came into the Macon-Bibb E-911 center reporting a person shot. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with a fifteen-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the juvenile to a medical facility for treatment. He is currently listed in critical condition. No one else was injured during the incident.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Hit and Run Traffic Investigation Involving a Pedestrian on Spring Street
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision involving a pedestrian. The collision occurred near the intersection of Spring Street and Willow Street. The call came into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Patrol deputies responded to the scene following a report of a person down in the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies observed a thirty-four-year-old male unresponsive in the roadway who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. The name of the pedestrian will be released once next of kin has been notified.
The driver of the vehicle involved left the scene of the collision without reporting the incident. The pedestrian is currently listed in critical condition.
This incident is currently under investigation. Additional updates will be released as they become available.

Armed Subject barricaded inside Home Arrested
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested an armed subject who barricaded himself inside a home.

The call for assistance came in at 4:26 p.m. Saturday evening. It was reported that a male was firing shots from inside a residence in the 4000 block of Villa Avenue. Patrol deputies responded to the scene and attempted to make contact with the subject. The subject immediately fired two shots and barricaded himself inside the home. The subject was identified as 50-year-old Rasul Jamal Shaw.

Additional patrol deputies responded to the scene to assess the situation. It was determined that Shaw was alone and contained inside the residence. Shaw surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. A firearm was recovered.

Shaw was transported to a medical facility for an unrelated medical condition.

Rasul Jamal Shaw was taken into custody and transferred to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He is currently charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft by receiving stolen property. ... See MoreSee Less
