The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred inside a residential area within the 3600 block of Mercer University Drive. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 10:46 p.m., on May 13, 2026, Wednesday evening.

Deputies responded to the scene to investigate a report of a person shot. Once on scene, Deputies discovered a twenty-nine-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local medical facility. According to medical staff, the victim is currently listed in stable condition.

The Criminal Investigation Division is currently working to determine what led to the shooting.
