Update: Death Investigation on Pio Nono Avenue
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death, of a twenty-one-year-old Jeremiah McCrary following a shooting incident inside of the 2300 block of Pio Nono Avenue.
The incident was called into the Macon Bibb E-911 center just before 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Deputies responded to the location and rendered aid until the fire department and the paramedics arrived.
The McCrary was transported to a local medical facility, where he was pronounced deceased by the medical staff.
This incident is under investigation, and additional details will be released as they become available.

Aggravated Assault Investigation on Parkview Court
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred inside the 800 block of Parkview Court. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center just before midnight on Saturday night.
Deputies responded to the scene to investigate a report of multiple persons shot. When deputies arrived, they discovered two twenty-nine-year-old males were suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived on scene to treat the victims before transporting them to a medical facility. A twenty-three-year-old female later showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound. According to medical staff, all three victims are currently listed in stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with an investigator or contact the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.

Death Investigation on Grosso Avenue
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death, after a reported shooting incident, inside the 600 block of Grosso Avenue. The incident was called into the Macon Bibb E-911 center just before 5:00 p.m. Friday evening. Deputies responded to the scene and discovered an unresponsive sixteen-year-old male juvenile who suffered a gunshot wound. Deputy Coroner Luann Stone responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The identity of the deceased will not be released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.

Finney was wanted by the Bibb County Sheriff's for Simple Battery - Family Violence.

On September 2nd, 2026, Aaron Scott Dubose was apprehended by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office due to the information given to our office through an anonymous tip.
Dubose was wanted by the Jones County Sheriff's for Superior Court Violation of Probation with the original charges being Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine.
When concerned citizens Make The Call, it allows our office to help in making our community safer.
