A 3 whole people. What a turn out
On Wednesday, Lieutenant Carr conducted a stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, he detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside.
Deputy Tarver arrived on scene to assist, and field sobriety tests were conducted on the driver, identified as David Knowles III. As a result of the investigation, Knowles was placed under arrest and charged with DUI Less Safe and Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce. He was also cited for the equipment violation.
Knowles was transported to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office and remains in custody at this time.

This morning, around 6:30 AM, Houston 911 received a call regarding a subject with a machete at Langston Road Elementary, beating on a door. Perry PD officers responded and discovered a male who in possession of a machete. The male was taken into custody and identified as Cody Alley.
There were no children at the school and no one was injured. Custodial staff was on site setting up for field day.
