Assistance Needed in Locating Suspect and Suspect Vehicle Involved in Fatal Hit and Run on Interstate Drive in #MaconGA

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the driver or vehicle involved in a fatal Hit and Run incident on August 27. 2020, between 06:00 a.m. and 07:00 a.m. on Interstate Drive.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were able to determine that the vehicle involved in the Hit and Run Fatality was a 2003 to 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, Sliver/Blue color. The vehicle will have damage to the passenger side front to include the headlight and side mirror. A picture of a similar style vehicle is attached to this release.

Fatal Traffic Incident on Interstate Drive

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic incident that occurred near the intersection of Interstate Drive and Columbus Road.

Hit and Run Suspect Vehicle Macon GA

At 07:38 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 4400 block of Interstate Drive regarding an unresponsive person on the roadside. Upon arrival, deputies found 51-year-old Valeria Moore Patterson, of Macon, deceased beside the road. An unknown vehicle had struck Patterson while she was walking along Interstate Drive. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and notify the Sheriff’s Office of the incident. The vehicle is believed to be a middle 2000’s silver Mercury sedan product. Patterson was pronounced deceased on scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office personal. Next of kin has been notified by the Coroner’s Office.
