Death Investigation on Burke Street
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the 1000 block of Burke Street. The call came into the Macon Bibb County Emergency 911 Center just before 1:00a.m. Thursday morning.
Deputies responded to the residence on Burke Street in reference to a person found unresponsive. Upon arrival deputies located a 43-year-old male on the front porch of the residence. The male was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. The name of the victim will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
Bibb County Sheriff's Office Investigators are actively working this incident. Further details will be released once it becomes available.

Arrest Made in Aggravated Assault Investigation on Westminster Drive
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident, that occurred in the 1500 block of Westminster Drive. The call came into the Macon Bibb Emergency-911 Center just before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located a twenty-four-year-old female later identified as Alasia Smith suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence. It was reported that the incident occurred during a domestic dispute. The female was transported to a local hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
A twenty-nine-year-old male later identified as Anthony Allen was transported to the Criminal Investigation Division to be interviewed in reference to this incident. Allen was later transported to the Bibb law-enforcement center and charged with aggravated assault family violence, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He is currently being held without bond. The next of kin has been notified.

UPDATE: Arrest Made in High Oak Drive Death Investigation
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident, that occurred in the 4700 block of High Oak Drive. The call came into the Macon Bibb Emergency-911 Center just before 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Deputies arrived on scene and discovered inside this location a fifty-two-year-old male identified as Robert Thomas suffering from a gunshot wound. It was reported that the incident was a domestic dispute between brothers, Robert Thomas and forty-six-year-old Roderick Thomas.
Robert Thomas was pronounced decease on the scene by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. Next of kin has been notified. Robert Thomas will be sent to GBI for an autopsy.
Roderick Thomas was transported to the Criminal Investigation Division to speak with investigators. Rodrick was later transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with Murder.
