UPDATE: Arrest made in connection with Aggravated Assault Investigation on Recreation Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with an aggravated assault investigation that occurred on Recreation Road. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 7:34 p.m., Monday evening.
On January 6, 2026, just before noon, the US Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended the suspect wanted in connection with the aggravated assault of a twenty-five-year-old male. The suspect was taken into custody after the successful execution of an arrest warrant at a residence inside the 2500 block of Millerfield Road. A firearm was recovered. The suspect was identified as a fifteen-year-old male juvenile of Macon. He was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Headquarters. The suspect was then transported to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
The investigation is still active pending additional charges. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Aggravated Assault Investigation on Recreation Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred inside the 2200 block of Recreation Road. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 7:34 p.m., Monday evening.
Deputies responded to the scene to investigate a report of a person shot. Once on scene, Deputies discovered a twenty-five-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to a medical facility. According to medical staff, the victim is currently listed in critical condition.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
