Aggravated Assault Investigation at River Bend Apartments
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at River Bend Apartments, located at 3645 Mercer University Drive. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 7:36 p.m., Thursday evening.
The victims, an eighteen-year-old male, and a seventeen-year-old male arrived at the medical facility by personal vehicle. According to medical staff, the eighteen-year-old is currently listed in stable condition; the seventeen-year-old is currently listed in critical condition.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with an investigator or contact the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
