As school buses hit the roads again, it’s important for everyone—drivers, parents, and kids—to stay alert and follow key safety rules. Drivers, always stop when a school bus extends its stop sign—it's not just the law, it's a lifesaver. Slow down in school zones and watch for children crossing the street. Parents, remind your kids to stand back from the curb while waiting, board the bus calmly, and always cross in front of the bus where the driver can see them. Teach them to stay seated, keep aisles clear, and avoid distracting the driver. Safety starts before the ride and doesn’t end until they’re off the bus and out of the street. Let’s keep our kids safe every mile of the way.
🚸 School Bus Safety Tips – Let’s Keep Kids Safe! 🚍
Drivers: Stop when the school bus stop sign is out—no exceptions. It’s the law, and it saves lives.
Slow down in school zones and neighborhoods—kids can appear out of nowhere.
Never pass a stopped bus picking up or dropping off children.
Parents: Teach kids to wait at least 10 feet from the road and to only board when the bus stops completely.
Kids: Always cross in front of the bus—never behind—and make eye contact with the driver before crossing.
Stay seated, face forward, and keep hands and belongings out of the aisle while riding.
Let’s work together to protect every child, every ride, every time. 💛 ... See MoreSee Less
