UPDATE: Death Investigation on Wallace Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Wallace Road near the intersection of Johnson Road. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency-911 Center at 7:17 p.m., Monday evening.
Deputies responded to the scene in reference to a report of a person shot. When deputies arrived, they observed twenty-three-year-old Dontavious Ryshaun Holsey of Milledgeville, unresponsive with a gunshot wound. There was a second victim, a seventeen-year-old male, also suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived on scene and transported both victims to a medical facility for treatment. According to medical staff, Holsey succumbed to his injuries. According to Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson, the next of kin has been notified. The second victim is currently listed in stable condition.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

According to medical staff, the twenty-three-year-old male succumbed to his injuries. The name of the victim will not be released at this time. The second victim is in stable condition.

UPDATE: Fatal Pedestrian Involved Collision on Hawkinsville Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal pedestrian involved collision that occurred on Hawkinsville Road, south of Feagin Road. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center on September 29, 2024, at 2:28 p.m., Sunday afternoon.
Deputies responded to the area in reference to a report of a person unresponsive off the roadway. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered twenty-five-year-old Hatima Ayana Wilkins, who had succumbed to injuries sustained. It was determined Wilkins had been struck by an unknown vehicle. Wilkins was pronounced deceased on scene by Coroner Leon Jones. According to Coroner Jones, the next of kin has been notified.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
