MURDER CONVICT STACY HUGGINS ESCAPES WORK DETAIL IN HEPHZIBAH... HELP FIND HIM!
Authorities are actively searching for an inmate who walked away from his assigned work site and failed to return on Thursday evening, according to Lt. James Kelly with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
On September 4, at approximately 7:54 p.m., deputies responded to 601 Taylor Street, the Augusta Transitional Center, after inmate Stacy Huggins was reported missing. Huggins had reported earlier that day to his assigned work site at 4337 Wilson Road in Hephzibah. Sometime during the day, he reportedly left the location on foot in an unknown direction and never returned.
RCSO, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Corrections, has launched a search for Huggins, who was last seen in the Hephzibah area. He is serving a life sentence for a 1990 murder out of Fulton County, according to DOC records.

Several Arrests made in Connection with Felony Shoplifting Investigation
A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigator has arrested several suspects in connection with a shoplifting investigation at Bath and Body Works, located at 4673 Presidential Parkway.
On September 8, 2025, at 11:03 a.m., a call came into the Macon Bibb E-911 Center reporting multiple females inside Bath and Body Works, concealing several amounts of merchandise inside the store’s bags. The females were observed fleeing from the property in a dark Honda Accord. The vehicle was located by a witness and an investigator in a parking lot inside the 3500 block of Mercer University Drive. Patrol Deputies arrived to assist. All the suspects were apprehended without incident. All of the store’s merchandise was recovered.
The suspects were identified as twenty-eight-year-old Dondrea Katia Sallad, thirty-two-year-old Yarshae Remairia Dent, thirty-year-old Nigeria Lashaine McClendon, and thirty-four-year-old Ashele Shana Floyd Syed. The suspects were transported to Investigations Headquarters for further investigation.
All suspects were then transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Dondrea Sallad was charged with Felony Theft by Shoplifting. Sallad was wanted in Bibb County for Felony Theft by Shoplifting in connection with four previous cases. Nigeria McClendon was charged with Felony Theft by Shoplifting. McClendon was wanted in Bibb County for Felony Theft by Shoplifting in connection with a previous case. Yarshae Dent was charged with Felony Theft by Shoplifting and Probation Violation. Ashele Syed was charged with Felony Theft by Shoplifting.

Aggravated Assault Investigation on Shurling Drive
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred inside the 2300 block of Shurling Drive. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 3:33 a.m., Tuesday morning.
Deputies responded to investigate reports of a disabled vehicle hit a fire hydrant. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a twenty-three-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local medical facility for treatment. According to medical staff, the victim is in critical but stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
