UPDATE: Arrest made in connection with Summer Hill Drive Armed Barricaded Subject Investigation
On July 25, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., the US Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended eighteen-year-old Nicholas Ishmael Floyd of Macon, at a residence inside the 4000 block of Summer Hill Drive. Floyd was wanted in connection with an aggravated assault investigation that occurred on July 16, 2025.
Nicholas Ishmael Floyd was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where he faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, and False Imprisonment.
Floyd is currently being held without a bond.

UPDATE: Armed Subject Barricaded on Summer Hill Drive
On July 15, 2025, at 9:07 p.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a residence within the 4000 block of Summer Hill Drive in response to a person reported shot. Deputies contacted a fifty-two-year-old female on Log Cabin Drive near Presidential Parkway. She was suffering from a gunshot wound. It was reported that eighteen-year-old Nicholas Ishmael Floyd shot her inside the 1700 block of Madden Avenue after setting a residence on fire. Floyd then took a twelve-year-old male to a home on Summer Hill Drive where he barricaded himself inside, armed. The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment. She is listed in stable condition.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Hostage Negotiators, and Patrol Deputies responded to the residence to assess the situation. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team made entry into the home and recovered the twelve-year-old male. He was returned to his family unharmed. The suspect fled the scene.
Nicholas Ishmael Floyd is a black male with bright skin, with an afro, six feet one inch in height, and weighs one hundred fifty pounds.
Photographs of Floyd are attached to this Media Release. Floyd is considered to be armed and dangerous.
The circumstances surrounding these incidents are currently under investigation. Updates will be provided as they become available.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 2:04 AM, Peach County 911 was notified of a pedestrian fatality on GA 96 in Fort Valley. The pedestrian, who was pushing a green shopping cart, was struck and killed by a vehicle that left the scene without notifying emergency personnel.
Troop H’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) is asking for the public’s help. Investigators are looking for a charcoal gray vehicle with damage to a tinted headlight that was traveling westbound on Georgia 96 between midnight and 2 AM.
