The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred inside the 2200 block of Recreation Road. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 7:34 p.m., Monday.
Deputies responded to the scene to investigate a report of a person shot. Once on scene, Deputies discovered a twenty-five-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to a medical facility. According to medical staff, the victim is currently listed in critical condition.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
