Last night, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the area of PA John’s Rd. Upon arrival, officers spotted the suspect vehicle. A brief vehicle pursuit ensued, after which the suspect fled the vehicle on foot and was last seen in the area of Grandview Court/Grandview Drive.
Officers will continue to patrol Grandview Drive, Sinclair Dam Road, and the surrounding areas. The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Mehki Pettigrew, was last seen wearing a bright green jacket and dark in color pants.

I seen them hauling the truck and the car so im assuming they cleaned it up lord I hope the person in the car is alright cause it looked so bad . We'll hope both parties are ok .
On December 28, 2025, Post 10 Troopers, along with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a single-vehicle crash on Georgia 49 South. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames upon first responders’ arrival and sustained extensive damage.
The vehicle is believed to be a silver Lincoln MKZ sedan.
