Captain Brantley Worley of the McCaysville Police Department is fighting for his life after being shot in the face while responding to a call Friday night.

Worley was just promoted to captain in July.

He also serves as a volunteer firefighter.

Beyond the badge, he’s a husband, a father, an ordained minister, and a volunteer with his community’s little league.

Those who know him say his life is dedicated to service, both to his family and to the people around him. đź’™
