The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in identifying and locating the suspect involved in the murder of Albert Kenneth Knight. Knight, a 59-year-old homeless man, was found dead on May 26, 2024, in the First Street Lane alleyway near the intersection of Poplar and Second Streets in downtown Macon.

Suspect Description

Authorities have released photos and video footage of the suspect, who is described as:

  • A white man with glasses
  • Wearing a ball cap, a green shirt possibly labeled “Hilton Head Island Bike Shop” in white letters, denim jeans, and black shoes
  • Seen in one photo wearing orange gloves and holding an object that has been blurred out by authorities

Incident Details

Knight was brutally attacked and hit in the head multiple times, leading to his death. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made the video footage of the suspect available to the public in hopes of gathering more information.
