Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators charged a male individual in connection with the death of 16-year-old Davaun Patton. The incident occurred on Friday night, near the parking lot of the Family Dollar, located on Rocky Creek Road.
Tyreon Tyrese Parks, age 17, from Macon, turned himself over to Investigators Monday afternoon at around 4:30p.m.. After being interviewed about the incident, he was taken into custody.
Parks was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and is currently being held without bond, for the charge of Murder.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that occurred at 2584 Rocky Creek Road, Family Dollar, parking lot. It was reported that there was an altercation between multiple subjects. During the physical altercation an unknown person pulled a gun and fired a shot. The malevictim was struck in the abdomen during the incident. He was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in critical condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident. There is no information on the suspect at this time.
The victim later died at the hospital from his injuries. The victim information is not being released at this time.
