Asking for Public’s Assistance In Locating Two Wanted Persons In Homicide Investigation. $2000 reward for information leading to the arrest of each listed individual.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the publics’ assistance in locating two suspects wanted in a Homicide Investigation. The incident occurred on March 3, 2021, at 2590 Rocky Creek Road, Majestic Gardens Apartments.

Investigators are asking for the publics assistance in locating 20-year-old Zontravon Keontae Herndez , of Macon and 21-year-old Vernon Deshawn Grable, of Byron ,regarding the homicide of 16-year-old Amerie Searcy. Both Herndez and Grable are known to frequent the South Macon and Bloomfield areas. Warrants have been issued for Murder on both Herndez and Grable.

Homicide Investigation on Rocky Creek Road

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that was reported to have occurred at 2590 Rocky Creek Road, Majestic Gardens Apartments just after 7:00 p.m.

It was reported that 16-year-old Amerie Searcy, of Macon, was walking in the parking lot of Majestic Garden Apartments when an unknown subject began shooting. Searcy was struck once during the incident. Searcy was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office Personnel. No one else was injured during the incident.

There is no information on the suspect at this time.
