Single Vehicle Fatality Investigation

At around 3:34 p.m., the Macon-Bibb 911 Center received a report that the vehicle of 21-year-old Sidney Compagines had been found down an embankment in a wooded area in the 300 block of Lower Thomaston Rd.

It was reported that family members had been checking the area and located the vehicle. Compagines was inside the vehicle and was later pronounced deceased by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.

It appears that this is a single vehicle fatal collision. The next of kin has been notified by the Coroner’s Office.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
