On the Morning of Jun 6, 2019, Officers with the Fort Valley Police Department responded to 907 Edwards Street for a welfare check on Pearlie Mae Williams. Entry was made into the residence. It had appeared that Williams had been savagely beaten. After a lengthy time in the hospital Williams succumbed to complications from the attack. Peach County Coroner Labeled her death a homicide.
