Fourth Suspect in Custody in Connection to Sherry Drive Investigation

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators had warrants issued for the arrest of an individual in connection to the Aggravated Assault of a 13-year-old juvenile that occurred on Sherry Drive on September 24, 2020.

A fourth suspect that was being sought, 17-year-old Antonio Jermaine Jackson, turned himself over to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, November 21, 2020. He is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charges of Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony-Murder and Aggravated Assault.

On September 26, 2020, Investigators charged 18-year-old Rodricko Desie Balkcom Jr., of Macon, 18-year-old Jaquez Deshun Brown, and a 14-year-old juvenile in connection to this investigation. All three individuals were taken into custody for the charges of two counts of Aggravated Assault.
The 13-year old Juvenile that was shot in the back has since been released from the hospital and is still receiving treatment for her injuries.

Investigators are also asking for the public’s assistance in helping locate a fifth individual wanted in relation to this investigation. Ricky T Brown III, age 18, has warrants for his arrest for the charges of two counts of Aggravated Assault.

Three Subjects Arrested For The Aggravated Assault On Sherry Dr

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested three subjects in connection to the Aggravated Assault on a 13-year-old female juvenile that occurred on Sherry Drive on September 24, 2020.

Deputies located the 14-year-old juvenile female suspect that had gone to Sherry Drive and gotten into an altercation with the 13-year-old victim. Deputies also took 18-year-old Rodricko Desie Balkcom Jr., of Macon, and 18-year-old Jaquez Deshun Brown, of Macon, into custody. They were located at an address in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Street at 1:41 p.m. They were all three transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigations Office for questioning.

The 14-year-old female suspect was transported to the Macon R.Y.D.C. and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault.

Balkcom was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault. He is being held without bond at this time.
Brown was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault. He is being held without bond at this time.

Aggravated Assault Investigation on Sherry Dr
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault that took place in the 3300 block of Sherry Dr. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center just before 11:00a.m.

It was reported that a juvenile female approached the apartment and asked for the female juvenile that lives at the residence. Once inside the apartment both juvenile females begin to fight. Once the adult present in the apartment help the juvenile victim push the juvenile suspect out of the apartment. The juvenile female shouted to several males standing outside the apartment to shot. A male suspect fired several shots towards the residence . The 13-year-old female victim that lives at the residence was struck in the back during the incident.

When deputies arrived at the location the suspects had already fled the scene. The 13-year-old victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The female victim is listed to be in stable but critical condition.

This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
