Fatal Traffic Collision on Robinson Road at Bond Street

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred just after 2:34 p.m. on Robinson Road at its intersection with Bond Street.

It was reported that a passerby found a motorcyclist down and unresponsive before calling the Macon-Bibb 911 center. The driver of the dirt bike, 18-year-old Zanthan Keon Hewitt of Macon, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Chief Coroner Leon Jones. This is a single vehicle collision. There were no other injuries reported. According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified.
