Fatal Traffic Collision on Fulton Mill Road and Dixon Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred near the intersection of Fulton Mill Road and Dixon Road at 8:40 a.m.
It was reported that a 49-year-old Jimmy Shumans Ballard, of Lizella, was traveling north, in a Chevy TrailBlazer, on Fulton Mill Road near Dixon Road. A Dump truck has driven by a 59-year-old male, of Macon, who was traveling south on Fulton Mill Road when it collided with Chevy TrailBlazer. The Chevy TrailBlazer had crossed the centerline before being struck by the dump truck. Ballard was pronounced deceased on scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office personal. Next of kin has been notified by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office personal.
