The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the 4500 block of PioNono Avenue. The accident occurred at around 4:10a.m., Monday morning.

According to witnesses, a 2004 Honda Accord, driven by 24-year-old Tavaris McDougald, pulled out of the, “Club X”, night club parking lot, located on PioNono Avenue. The Honda pulled into the path of a 2013 Dodge Ram truck, driven by 27-year-old Terrell Billingslea. The circumstances surrounding the fatal accident are under investigation.

McDougald was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to the Coroner’s Office, the next of kin has been notified.

Billingslea was transported to the Navicent and is listed to be in stable condition.
