The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened in the 1800 block of Third Avenue just after 5:00 p.m.

Deputies responded to the 1800 block of Third Avenue regarding to a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found 22-year-old Tylik Emmanuel Young with gunshot wounds. Tylik was pronounced deceased on the scene by Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone. A second victim, 18-year-old Jordan Shamone Young, was transported to the Atrium Health Hospital by personal vehicle, where he is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured during the incident. The next of kin has been notified.

There is no information on the suspect currently. The above information is preliminary and could change as the investigation progresses. This incident is still being investigated.
