Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a report of a person down on Thursday, August 6, 2020. The incident occurred in the 3100 block of Hamlin Road at around 5:30p.m.

Witnesses stated that 61-year-old Dennis Fredrick Greene of Lizella was found unresponsive, in the back yard of his residence. The friends that located Greene, stated that he had possibly fallen off the back porch. Greene was reported to have had wounds to the head area.

Greene was transported to the Navicent by ambulance and was listed to be in critical condition. Greene passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020. According to the Coroner’s Office, the next of kin has been notified.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed this week. This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
