Commercial Armed Robbery Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place at the MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union, located at 2306 Lasseter Place. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at around 10:37 a.m. Tuesday morning.

It was reported that an individual entered the bank and brandished a weapon demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registers, he fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

There were no injuries reported. The Bibb County School District Campus Police and nearby schools were notified and began safety protocols during the incident.

The individual is described as a male wearing a camouflage face mask, blue jean overalls, a dark hoodie, and black and white shoes.
