January 22, 2021Public’s Assistance Requested in Locating Commercial Armed Robbery Suspect

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a commercial armed robbery suspect. The incident took place at the M&M Convenience Store, located at 2760 Montpelier Avenue, on January 18, 2021, at 1:37 p.m.

The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Reginald Trephaniel Raines Jr, of Macon. He was identified with the help of deputies and the public. A warrant has been issued for Raines for Armed Robbery.

Commercial Armed Robbery Attempt and Aggravated Assault

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery and aggravated assault that took place at 1:37 p.m. at the M&M Convince Store, located at 2760 Montpelier Avenue.

It was reported that a male subject entered the store and got into an argument with the clerk over a drink. During the argument the suspect demanded money from the clerk. When the clerk did not give him any money the suspect stated “I aint got nothing to lose” and fired multiple shots through the security door at the clerk. The suspect then fled the store on foot. No one was injured during this incident.

The suspect was described as between five foot nine and five foot ten, in his late teens or early twenties, wearing all black.
