Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation
Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators identified and charged an individual in connection with the Homicide of Antonio Mason that occurred Thursday morning on Woodliff Street.
It was reported that Investigators contacted the family members of 36-Michael Jerome Maxwell and stated that they needed to speak with him about the homicide investigation.
Maxwell turned himself over to Investigators at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Annex Thursday afternoon.
After interviewing Maxwell about the incident, Maxwell was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charge of Murder. Maxwell is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex, without bond.

Fatal Shooting Investigation
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred in the 1800 block of Woodliff Street. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at around 12:27a.m..
It was reported that 39-year-old Antonio Mason was shot and transported to the Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance. Mason was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
According to Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone, the next of kin has been notified.
This incident is under investigation. No further information is available at this time. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.

Fatal Shooting Investigation
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred in the 1800 block of Woodliff Street. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at around 12:27a.m..
It was reported that a male individual was shot and transported to the Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance. The male was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The name of the deceased cannot be released until the next of kin has been notified.
