Arrest Made In Homicide Investigation

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators learned through information and leads that 14 years old , Shamar Smith, of Macon was involved in the homicide of 18-year-old Marquavious Deshaun Wright. The incident occurred June 16, 2021, at the Majestic Gardens Apartments, located at 2560 Rocky Creek Road.

Smith was picked up this afternoon in the Bowden Homes Complex. He was brought to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division to be interviewed. Smith was later charged with felony murder and is charged as an adult in this incident. He was transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center.
