Bibb County Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Unit and S.R.T. deputies arrested this aggravated assault suspect over the weekend during a traffic stop. The man, who was wanted on an active warrant, was a passenger in the vehicle pictured, in the area of Napier Avenue. In an attempt to conceal his identity, the individual provided deputies with a false name and signed documents using the fake name. A fingerprint scanner was used to identify and confirm his true identity. Deputies also found him to be in possession of drugs and two handguns, one of which the serial numbers had been removed. He faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, (2 counts) of Possessing a Firearm as a Convicted Felon, (2 counts) of Possessing a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Criminal Use of an Article with an Altered ID Mark, Forgery -1st Degree, and Parole Violation.
