Arrest Made in Connection with 2021 Napier Avenue Homicide Investigation

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators and members of the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, have made an additional arrest in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Shamarian Chatfield.

Investigators identified 17-year-old Antonio King as one of the suspects in connection with Chatfield’s death and had a warrant issued for his arrest. Members of the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force located King and took him into custody, without incident.

King is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony-(Murder).

Update: Arrest Made in Connection with 2021 Napier Avenue Homicide Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff’s Response Team and Patrol Deputies located and arrested a male that was wanted in the connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Shamarian Chatfield.

Investigators identified 28-year-old James Hotdric Tolliver as one of the suspects in connection with Chatfield’s death and had a warrant issued for his arrest. Members of the Sheriff’s Response Team and Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies located Tolliver and took him into custody, without incident.

Tolliver is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony-(Murder).

Update: Arrest Made in Napier Avenue Homicide Investigation

It was originally reported that the incident took place on October 12, 2021, at the Neighborhood Gas Station, located at 3102 Napier Avenue.

Upon further investigation, 30-year-old Ishaaq Taylor was identified in connection with the Homicide Investigation. Taylor was taken in to custody on February 4, 2022, without incident, in the area of Zinnia Street at its intersection with May Avenue.

Taylor was transported to the Bibb County Sheriffs Downtown Annex to be interviewed by investigators. He was then transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center where he is being held for the charges of (1) count of Murder and (2) counts of Probation Violation (Felony). Taylor currently does not have a bond.

Update: Arrests Made in Napier Avenue Homicide Investigation

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators charged two individuals in connection with the death of 18-year-old Shamarian Chatfield. The incident took place on October 12, 2021, at the Neighborhood Gas Station, located at 3102 Napier Avenue.

Investigators interviewed 24-year-old Andrew Raqati Hollis and 21-year-old Reshawn Taylor, Monday afternoon. After being interviewed about the incident, both Hollis and Taylor were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Hollis and Taylor were both charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony-(Murder). Hollis and Taylor are currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond.

Homicide Investigation on Napier Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred at the Neighborhood Gas Station located at 3102 Napier Avenue, at around 5:17 p.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a person down.

As deputies arrived, they found 18-year-old Shamarian Chatfield, unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

Chatfield was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance, where he was later pronounced deceased do to his injuries.

According to Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley, the next of kin has been notified.

Investigators are still gathering information on what led up to the shooting.
