Aggravated Assault Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an aggravated assault. The incident took place in the 300 block Pierce Avenue at around 7:20p.m.

Witnesses stated that they heard a gunshot, looked outside of their apartment, and saw a male laying on the ground. The male victim, 45-year-old Carlos Daniels was reported to have been shot.

Daniels was transported to the Atrium Health Navicent, by ambulance. He is listed to be in critical condition.

This investigation is in its early stages. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
