The Houston County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 3000 block of US Hwy 41in reference to an aggravated assault that occurred at approximately 10:15 P.M on 1-19-21. Upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies found 23 year old Derrick Ronald Wade from Byron seated in his vehicle with suspected gun shot wounds to his legs. Wade was taken to Navicent Health in Macon where he is recovering. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations responded to assist in the crime scene examination. The shooting is being investigated by the Houston County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. For reward, report tips to 1-877-68CRIME.
