Commercial Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested
Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a tip that was called into the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at around 10:48p.m. The tipster stated that a male individual, matching the description given in connection to the commercial armed robbery that took place at the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites, was possibly spotted walking into a room at the Economy Hotel, located at 4295 PioNono Avenue.
Deputies arrived at the hotel and located the room that the suspect had entered. The suspect, 32-year-old Bakari Lee Donaldson was taken into custody.
Donaldson was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where he is being held, without bond, for the charge of Armed Robbery. Donaldson also has two separate Probation Violation Superior Court-Felony charges.

Commercial Armed Robbery of the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place at Econo Lodge Inn and Suites, located at 4709 Chambers Road. The incident occurred at around 6:56p.m.
It was reported that an individual entered the hotel lobby, with his hand in his coat pocket, and demanded money from the clerk. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the store on foot, headed in an unknown direction. No one was injured during this incident.
The individual was described as a black male. He was last seen wearing a blue coat, blue pants, and he possibly had on a gray shirt. He also had on gray and black colored shoes and a blue beanie cap.
