Homicide on Shearwater Drive

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Homicide incident that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 4000 block of Shearwater Driver at 11:17 p.m. on December 6, 2020.

Witnesses stated that there was a domestic at the residence on Shearwater Drive. During the physical altercation between a 31-year-old Courvoisie Jamal Reid, of Macon, and his girlfriend. It was reported that 29-year-old Jeremy Travontia Brown, of Macon, pulled out a firearm and fired multiple shots. The Reid was struck in the upper body. The Reid was pronounced deceased on scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. No one else was injured during the incident. Next of kin was notified by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.

Brown fled the scene before deputies arrived. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for assistance in locating Brown. A picture of Brown is attached to this release.
