Since the inception of the Macon Regional Crimestoppers program in 2,000, tips provided through the hotline have resulted in 4,088 arrests. During the same period, Crimestoppers tips have led to over $615,000 in recovered property and over $213,000 in confiscated drugs. The total rewards paid through November of 2013 are $583,898, with an arrest produced for every $143 in donations to Crimestoppers.
This year, Crimestoppers tips have led to 371 arrests. The value of property recovered as a result is $26,667 and drugs valued at $46,775 have been taken off the streets.
