Ninth Annual Macon Regional Crimestoppers Luncheon
Law enforcement, from all eight counties, and media will attend this event along with other communty business leaders. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on auction items such as a Day with the Macon PD SWAT Team, a Ride Along with a Macon PD Patrol Officer, A Day with the Macon PD Narcotics Vice Unit, or A day with the Macon PD recruiters seeing how you measure up doing the Physical Fitness and Drivers Test.

The Stop the Violence Tour will wrap up the summer with a City-Wide Peace Ralley at Central City Park from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be free food, fun and entertainment for people of all ages so please come out and enjoy the festivites. There will be a suprise celebrity appearnce live enterainment. Please join us as we strive to effectuate positive change in our city and save our children from the harmful effects of gangs and gun violence. "IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD."

Crimestoppers is in partnership this summer with Project Safe Neighborhoods, the US Attornyes Office, and Sonny Spoon to hit the streets in different neighborhoods around Macon to try and stop all the gun violence within our city. On Friday June 25, 2010 we will be having a Career, Education, and Health Fair at the Rosa Jackson in East Macon. on Saturday June 26, 2010 there will be a peace ralley in which there will be food, games, different speakers, and a Rhyme Against Crime Contest. The ralley on Saturday will be at the Rosa Jackson Center.

Nineth Annual Macon Regional Crimestoppers Luncheon
Law enforcement, from all eight counties, and media will attend this event along with other communty business leaders. Walthall Oil Company had a big truck raffle in which $5,000.00 was donated to Crimestoppers.
The winner of this monster truck was John R. Walker with John R. Walker Construction Company here in Macon. Thank you to everyone that participated in this event.

Pledge Against Gun Violence
Bibb County sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students will gather to take a pledge against gun violence. Each student is given a t-shirt with there school logo to remember this pledge, on the reverse side of the shirt it will recite:
- I will never bring a gun to school
- I will never use a gun to settle a personal problem or dispute
- I will use my infleunce with my friends to keep them from using guns to settle disputes
- I will promise to live by this pledge
